Dhaka – Four of the commissions, assigned for state reforms, have submitted reports to the Chief Adviser to the interim government with recommendations, officials said on Wednesday.
Members of the commissions – namely the constitution reforms commission, election reforms commission, the anti-corruption reform commission and the police reforms commission – submitted their report to the Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus at his office in Dhaka, they said.
Soon after the ouster of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in the face of a violent uprising in August last year, the interim administration headed by Yunus assigned a number of commissions, comprising of experts in the relevant fields, to come up with recommendations for state reforms.
The members of the commissions talked to the stakeholders to sum up their reports and recommendations in the last four months. The interim government has planned to hold dialogue with the political actors to accept those reforms proposals.
